Google launched the Google TV: With this product, which already counts on famous partners such as Sony and Logitech, the TV in the living room becomes in effect a tool to navigate online, browse your media library, and take advantage of Android applications dedicated. At launch the televisions will be equipped with a range of applications preloaded, but starting early next year will reach even those dell’ Android Market making it increasingly attractive market.
Google says that “this is just the beginning” and that soon the content will be even more numerous. For the international audience for now you just have to sit back and hope that these changes come soon in the Old World, with local content or at least translated. Google also announced that new players will come into play with the likes of Turner Broadcasting (CNN and Cartoon Network), NBC Universal, HBO (Sex and The City, In Treatment) and NBA (basketball). There will also video on demand from Amazon and Netflix. The TV media arrive on Google in two ways: as traditional video or dedicated applications (such as Twitter or NBA).
