Do you know which room is the heart of the house ? Some may say that his bedroom, the room, but the truth is we all spend more time sitting comfortably in the kitchen , where we usually have breakfast and dinner almost daily. And why almost daily? Because most of us work and lunch out, but dinner always go home.

In this space we usually tell us how it went, share our secrets, to agree to leave or arrange a family outing or just play together at home, be a monopoly, a memory card or a game of poker .

As the most important area of the house, we can not leave abandoned because often our friends and family will join her and we always give a good impression. Therefore I will give some guidelines how you can improve the lighting in your kitchen to give it that touch of personality and warmth that every home should have.

Tips and recommendations

  • A general recommendation given to us by experts in decoration is reviewing all of the lighting of the house, that is, see what kind of light in every room, so from there we can make the necessary changes.
  • The main source of light in the room must come from the main focus comes from the ceiling , which should reach every corner of the kitchen after this and come-ons of light in specific corners.
  • Usually the kitchen cabinets and drawers equipped with a kitchenette, a refrigerator and a dining room set aside where the family gathers to share breakfast, lunch (weekends) and dinner. One way to give personality to the kitchen to is placing light bulbs suitable for every room and corner.
  • An example is light between the upper cabinets and kitchen furniture (where you put the blender, rice cooker and kitchen buckets), and in many small kitchens such as department, this part is used for chopping vegetables and finish preparing the food.
  • It is therefore important to have enough light to perform this task with ease; to provide you with this job , you can install some lighting fixtures and recessed lighting to the naked eye does not see, but when you work a lot and will make you look smart and tidy your kitchen.
  • Another area to highlight is the breakfast area (where we spent more time sitting in the kitchen), here we put warm lamps pendant that will enhance the area with incidental light.
  • The recommended distance between the table and the lamp should be no less than about 60 cm. so that the brightness does not bother the guests feel very warm and the environment. If your cabinets are stained, you can enlighten them so that the dishes inside look striking and elegant.

Then I let some examples of how to light your kitchen with style and following the guidelines above:

plants

The lamps give the plants a light complementary to the natural light is often helpful. To complement the natural light we can use one of the following options:

* Incandescent: These are the bulbs. Produce light (red and infrared) by phenomena filament filament, heated by the passage of electrical current. A lot of heat and consume large amounts of electricity, so its performance is very low. They can also burn plants if placed too close.

System is cheaper, but not recommended. If you have no choice, at least attempt to use bulbs that are more effective because it focused beams of light by reflectors.

Lamps * Mercury Vapor (MV) produce light (white, blue and green) by passing electric current through mercury hot gases at high pressure.

They are used during the plant growth because of its high emission in the blue spectrum, but are poor in the red zone so not promote flowering. They are very efficient in power consumption.

* Mixed Lamps (incandescent and mercury vapor): Combination of a mercury vapor lamp under high pressure with an incandescent lamp.

This will get the red radiation necessary for the stimulation of flowering indoor plants. The problem is the high cost of use, the greatly reduced light output compared to the mercury vapor lamps.
